Overview

The network management system UNEM NP is an additional license option for UNEM BP. This course is designed for O&M engineers and network operations staff who are responsible for managing large networks utilising the configuration, management and documentation of the UNEM.

Target Group

After completing this training the participant will have an understanding of the UNEM NP architecture and the interaction of its various components and know how to commission a network before using UNEM NP. They will have a working knowledge of the UNEM NP application and know about restrictions and limitations of UNEM NP.

  • Base standards according to ITU-T G.805 and managed objects derived from ITU-T M.3100
  • UNEM inside the TMN pyramid
  • Transport entities (trails, sub network connections, circuits) inside NP applications
  • Semi-automatic provisioning of transport entities

  • Creation of reports according to specified criteria
  • Auto-generation/deletion of transport entities as a consequence of NP or BP events

Pre-requisites

Those wishing to attend this course should have: Successfully completed the UNEM Basic Package course.
